To support continuity, security, and appropriate estate planning, our Platform provides investors with the option to designate a beneficiary for their investment account.

A beneficiary is an individual designated by an account holder to make a claim in relation to the investor's account and associated investment interests following the investor's death, subject to applicable laws, verification requirements, estate procedures, and the terms governing the relevant investments.

The beneficiary designation feature is intended to help us identify the investor's stated wishes and facilitate an orderly process when dealing with an account following the death of an investor.

01

Beneficiary Designation

An investor may designate an eligible individual as a beneficiary of their investment account through the Platform.

Beneficiary information may include details necessary to identify and contact the beneficiary and to support subsequent verification where a claim is made.

The designation of a beneficiary does not, during the lifetime of the investor, give that beneficiary ownership, management authority, withdrawal rights, login access, or control over the investor's account.

02

Transfer of Interests Upon Demise

In the unfortunate event of an investor's death, the designated beneficiary may submit a claim in relation to the investor's account and associated investment interests.

Before any transfer, distribution, or other action is completed, we may require appropriate documentation and conduct identity, legal, security, and compliance verification.

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances of the account, additional documentation or procedures relating to the deceased investor's estate may also be required.

Important

A beneficiary designation does not override mandatory inheritance, succession, probate, tax, court-order, or other legal requirements that may apply to an investor's estate or investment assets.

03

Right to Update or Change a Beneficiary

Investors retain control over their beneficiary designation while their account remains active and they remain legally capable of making such changes.

Subject to applicable Platform procedures, an investor may update or replace a beneficiary, particularly following major life events or changes in personal circumstances.

Once a new beneficiary designation has been successfully submitted and accepted by the Platform, the latest valid designation recorded by us will generally replace the previous designation, subject to applicable law.

04

Ongoing Flexibility

The beneficiary designation feature is designed to remain flexible throughout the investor's relationship with the Platform.

Investors may periodically review their beneficiary information and, where permitted, modify or replace that information through the Platform.

We encourage investors to review their beneficiary designation following significant life events to ensure that the information recorded on the Platform continues to reflect their intentions.

05

Verification and Compliance

Beneficiary claims are subject to appropriate verification and compliance procedures designed to protect the investor's account and reduce the risk of unauthorized or fraudulent claims.

Depending on the circumstances, a beneficiary or estate representative may be required to provide documentation including:

  • Valid government-issued identification.
  • Evidence relating to the death of the account holder.
  • Information confirming the identity and details of the designated beneficiary.
  • Estate, probate, succession, court, or other legal documentation where required.
  • Additional information reasonably required for KYC, AML, fraud prevention, tax, sanctions, or other compliance purposes.

No transfer or distribution will be completed until the applicable verification and compliance requirements have been satisfied.

06

Investor Responsibility

Investors are responsible for ensuring that beneficiary information provided to the Platform is accurate, complete, and kept up to date.

Outdated, incomplete, inaccurate, or conflicting beneficiary information may delay the verification and administration of a beneficiary claim.

Investors should periodically review their beneficiary designation and update it whenever their circumstances or intentions change.

YOUR SECURITY, YOUR LEGACY

Protecting What You Build

Our beneficiary designation feature is designed to help investors document their wishes and provide a structured and secure process for handling investment interests following their passing, while maintaining appropriate verification, compliance, and legal safeguards.

Beneficiary designations are also subject to our general Platform terms and privacy requirements.
